Annie’s View (Oct 14th)
Friday, October 14th, 2005Hello Viewers,
Well, this View is going to take some time to write…maybe. First of all, I’d love to say hello to all the new Viewers that have been writing me and saying nice things about my column. I love good or bad comments so please, feel free to disagree with me and not worry about your View not being printed. It will be.
BRET HART DVD
How jazzed do you think I am now that Bret Hart is going to have a DVD? That’s right Viewers I’m too excited for words. I’m just glad that both the Hitman and Vince set aside their differences for Bret’s fans (you know, me) and of course the others so that we could once again, relive the wrestling that ONLY the Hitman can bring. I am somewhat surprised though that the Ironman match with Michael’s isn’t on the DVD because frankly, I think (And yes, this is just my View) that it’s one of the best matches by both men EVER!!! The Hitman never had to win all the time for me, he just had to wrestle and wrestle is what Bret Hart did when he laced up a pair of boots.
HARDY AND NEW GIRL
So, Matt got together with the new kid on the block so to speak. Does this mean that the Lita/Edge/Matt fiasco WAS legitimate and that Lita really is the slut that John Cena called her on RAW??
I don’t know but what I do know is that the story line about Edge/Lita is boring me to tears. I’m so tired of it. Maybe now that Matt has moved on and all, the entire story line can just die slowly, you know, like the WWE seems to be…..
WWE RATINGS.
I have heard that they’re actually in the toilet. Sure, the first week they were back at the USA channel was fantastic. Everyone was waiting and they had a stellar lineup for the show. Austin, Hogan, All the guy from way back when. Piper I could just go on. But I won’t. The point that I’m trying to make is that it was a pretty decent show. It was the first RAW I have enjoyed for a long time. Now, I watch for Cena, HHH and a few others like Jericho who is no longer there at the moment. But the biggest shock of the week was….
JR WAS FIRED.
Okay, so he really wasn’t fired. But I think this story line and the way that JR had to leave was asinine to say the very least. A lot of people are happy to see JR go. They say he’s stale. Well, aren’t we all? But I just think he and Lawler are too good together. And to replace him with Coach?? Well, I honestly don’t know if this will work.
Maybe JR has mentioned Bret Hart one too many times for Vince’s liking. I know I’d be fired if that were the case. Seriously, the rumor mill a couple of months ago was that Lawler was being canned so, after I found out that this wasn’t the case, after a great big PHEW, I didn’t think anything else would happen. But I knew something probably would once Coach sat down.
I just think this could have been handled better. JR sat there for a long time and, as far as I know, was extremely loyal to Vince.
Now the next rumor is that Vince didn’t like how the story on JR’s removal was leaked out. Somehow this to became the fault of JR. If it was, so what? Who would want to go out that way? Especially after putting in so many long and faithful months like JR has for the McMahon family.
Proving once again that Vince wants YOU to be loyal but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be.
I know I’m going to get a lot of hate mail from the Vince lovers out there but I really don’t care. I really liked JR and so what he moved back to his hometown. Shouldn’t he be allowed to live where he WANTS to live? I think Vince should move to Dudleyville myself or some other rural town that would probably make his skin crawl.
I know it’s a story line and all but it was pretty crappy. At least thats my View and I’m sticking to it. I also know that they’re are rumors stating that JR wanted to step down a bit from everything he’s been doing which is good for him. I mean give the man a vacation. But I just think that Linda McMahon and all the other McMahons ganging up on him that way was stupid. Oh and just for the record, Linda was horrible. The firing would have looked a LOT better coming from her husband whom just about everyone hates.
The one thing that I have got to say that I loved about JR’s calling the matches is that he always made it sound so exciting. He’d scream sometimes. I dunno, good or bad, I know that all things change. Then again time will tell if it’s for the betterment of the company.
Now it’s your turn to give me YOUR VIEWS. Question of the Week:
DO YOU THINK JR NEEDED TO GO AND WHO SHOULD TAKE HIS PLACE??
That’s it for now. So until next time, be good or be like me, really good doing it
