Annie’s View (June 10th)

Friday, June 10th, 2005

Hello Viewers,

Yes, It’s been a long time now but you know wrestling has been really well, boring. Okay, not all of it but really, there isn’t much to write about anymore nor is there much for us to watch.

THEN CAME MONDAY NIGHT

Let the bodies hit the floor. That’s exactly what happened. First of all, Jericho announced last week that he would be interviewing the very first person from Smack Down to RAW. Now it didnt’ take a genius (Or even me) to figure out that John Cena was coming. I mean, we all knew it.

Of course that’s not to say that he’ll stay. But I think he’d be good for RAW. They’ve already set up a match with him and Christian for next week and I can’t wait to watch Cena win. Or will he? I’m guessing Yes because lets just say I’m a much bigger fan of Cena’s than I am of Christian’s and we all know I love Canadian wrestlers the best…..Most of the time.

But Cena gives a new meaning to the word Superstar. He’s young, talented and came from a place where he already had given his heart and soul to. UPW. I saw him in a match there once and it was excellent. Nobody interfered it was just pure fine wrestling. Cena does this everytime he comes out and steps into the ring.

I think Hunter is going to Smack Down and I think this would be a good thing. Because he needs to work with different people as does Cena. I mean, How many times can we be expected to sit and watch the same matches week in and week out? C’mon Vince, give us something different.

I think he just might be trying to do that. Or at least I’m going to give Vinny the benefit of the doubt and hope I’m right.

I’m hoping Batista keeps the belt for a while because I’m sick of the same people having it and yes, that goes for Womens and Tag teams. Although I love them all.

But the belts. Well, they used to mean something and now, they just don’t seem to mean anything. They used to take some time building up storylines for the matches so by the time you actually saw someone WIN a belt, you were actually looking forward to the match. Now it’s Trish and Hunter that usually win and I’m tired of it. Trish is a really fine wrestler as is Hunter, but you know, the more we see them in the ring, the quicker their career could be over.

It only takes one bad move due to over working and not enough sleep to screw up a move and a career. So that’s why I think it’s nice to see different people have the belt. Besides, it’s not like Vince doesn’t have enough on his roster that he can’t afford to give someone some time off.

Where is Trish right now? Healing. She shouldn’t be but she was hurt. This is just my View and before you start writing me letters yes, I do know how she got hurt. I’m simply saying that maybe just maybe she’s in the ring too often. She can be there without wrestling and therefore, not getting injured.

As for Hunter, he’s not getting any younger and one of these days he’s going to hurt himself AGAIN and there you go.

Just my View but please send me yours. You have my address.

Speaking of Hunter, I thought he and Batista played the signing for the PPV off quite nicely. They did a great job acting. Both men looked convincing I thought. Then again, I like them both. I wish Batista good luck and Hunter too but I do hope that Batista keeps the belt.

And then it happened…..

Heyman was to show up at the RAW taping and he didn’t let us down. As a matter of fact not only did he NOT let us down but he came with many of the ECW men. I did look for Raven and for RVD but I’ll take the Dudleys, and Rhyno. Man it was nice seeing Rhyno again. I miss him a lot.

The ECW PPV looks like it’s going to be a sweet PPV worth every penny. I’m hoping to be home and maybe just maybe I’ll actually buy it. But if not, I’m sure a Viewer will do as they always do and send me the highlights.

We also learned that none other than Stone Cold, Steve Austin would be there next week on RAW to talk to who else, Daivari and Hassan and tell them just what’s what.

Then tonight on Smack Down here comes Chris Benoit. They couldn’t have gotten anyone better to beat the garbage out of JBL (Other than Hunter) but I still think Hunter may show.

Paul Heyman showing up tonight with his band of merry men was just as exciting as the night they invaded RAW. Boy, would I love to see ECW come back to life. I really would and I know that everyone that watches wrestling knows that the WWE really does need some good competition. Nobody could give it to WWE like ECW could either.

I loved the way Rhyno, Sandman and the rest of the group cluttered around the ring while Benoit beat the stuffing out of JBL. And when Angle came out, that was it. They all started in.

Then came Tazz. And man was he great. Angle’s in deep trouble and I hope Tazz kicks the crap out of him.

All in all, the PPV looks like it’s going to be great. Lots of surprises and just about everyone that really was in ECW should be there.

But the real questions are:
Will John Cena STAY at RAW now that he’s there?

Will Triple H be moved from RAW to Smack Down?

Will Vince once the ECW One Night Stand PPV is over Sunday, realize just what kind of fan base the ECW STILL has? And Moreso, that their fans seem to be well, more vocal and more excited about this PPV than most of the others that Vince has put out?

Which brings me to my Question of the Week: DO YOU THINK CENA WILL STAY WITH RAW?

Well a few weeks ago (Yes, I have been really bad) I wrote and asked the Question What do you think of another Diva Search??

Here were some of your answers

Wolf wrote: I think the diva search is dumb. Like you said they can’t wrestle and they are just eye candy for the TV. They are a dime a dozen out there. I can watch MTV or E! if i am looking to watch divas. Lets face it their tops or bottoms aren’t going to come off no matter how much us guys will watch. I am not sure about all of you but that is when I am able to get up and get something to eat/drink/piss knowing I will miss nothing.

My Viewer, Steve wrote this : The new Diva search will be another SKANK filled whore fest, where the least stinkiest tuna melt wins the loot.  They cancel Tough Enough for this piece of shit?  Why Vince Why?

Shelia wrote this :

Hate it. We don’t need any more eye candy. We need women who can actually wrestle.

Another Viewer, TakermeUnder wrote this:THANK  YOU!!!  We don’t need any more Miss America pageants and aenorexic
>chicks running around.  I wanna see some wrestlers!  Hell they  should
>swallow their pride and bring Chyna back.  Oh, blast from the  past. . . .
>.
>. .anybody know anything about Nichole Bass?  Last I  hear a couple years
>ago, she had cancer, I think. Anybody know how she is  doing?

And my Good friend, Cammy wrote this:

Completely stupid. A waste of some perfectly good air time and money if you ask me. The WWE has already met its whore… ooops… Divas quote for the century. Just my opinion.

I always put my favorite answer at the bottom so you know this time it’s Cammys. But in all fairness, I also agreed with all of you.
That’s it for this time round Viewers. Until next time, be good or be like me, really good doin it.
